No Gut, No Poultry
Good Gut, Optimum Performance
Optimal gut health is important for performance and production in poultry. There is a direct co-relation between animal performance and a 'healthy' gut. Gut/ intestine performs various functions i.e. nutrient digestion, metabolism and absorption, energy production, a stable microbiome, mucus layer development, barrier function and mucosal immune responses. The most basic function of the gut is regulating physiological homeostasis that provides the host the ability to withstand infectious and non-infectious stressors. Quality of feed, feed ingredients, pathogens & overall health status adversely impacts gut health balance & impacts performance severely.
There is no silver bullet for tackling gut health challenges. Multiple gut challenges require multidirectional protection.
What are AMPs (Antimicrobial Polymers)
- Structure - Antimicrobial Polymers are typically synthetic polymers, and have large molecules with diverse chemical structures which can imitate AMP.
- Bacterial Resistance - Antimicrobial Polymers shows low susceptibility to induced bacterial resistance due to their physical, multi-modal action.
- Stability - Antimicrobial Polymers exhibits higher chemical and metabolic stability, making them more stable in long-term usage and storage.
Mode of action and Silent features
-
Antimicrobial Polymers/ Polyhydroxyalkanoates –
Gut Acting Antimicrobial, Antiprotozoal & Antifungal Polymer; and does not gets absorbed (Like Halquionol) from the Gut. -
Zinc Curcuminate –
Anti-inflammatory and healing agent to repair & regeneration of gut villi.
Prevents diarrhoea/ wet droppings & Improves immunity. -
Zinc Cinnamate –
Antimicrobial (Salmonella, E.coli), antiprotozoal and antifungal properties. -
Yucca Saponins –
Antimicrobial, Antidiarrheal & Astringency Properties. -
Cyromazine –
Insect growth regulator used to control fly larvae in manure.
Effective against the larvae of house flies and other species.
A Complete Solution for Wet Droppings, Fly Control & Replacement of Halquinols
- Due to its polymeric structure and high molecular weight, Zinc Cinnamate and Polyhydroxyalkanoates doesn't get absorbed through intestinal walls and are truly gut acting like Halquinols.
- Excellent antimicrobial activity against common enteric pathogens (Bacteria’s, Protozoa’s & Parasites)
- Protein binding and inhibited enzymatic actions, interferes pathogen development. Rupture cell membrane, alters the exchange of ions and nutrients which in turn kills the bacteria & protozoa.
Benefits
- Antimicrobial ac tivity prevents and controls enteric infections
- Prevention and control of loose droppings/ wet droppings due to specific and non-specific origins
- Ensures gut health & gut integrity for better absorption of nutrients
- Improves egg production in layers, better egg grading, Improves growth rate and general health of birds
- Improves overall performance
- Alte-Quin-AMP lowers down of peristaltic movement helps in better assimilation of proteins, allowing lower protein input in the diet which in turn results into less nitrogen loss in droppings and less ammonia in air.
- Zinc Cinnamate have excellent Antimicrobial effects, Astringency which reduces peristaltic movement and improves water absorption.
- Cinnamates also have good antioxidant effects.
Cyromazine
- Insect growth regulator used to control fly larvae in manure.
- Effective against the larvae of house flies and other species.
Dosage - 100 grams to 200 grams per ton of feed
